Job summary

TaylorMade in Carlsbad, CA seeks a BI Data Engineer / Technical Engineer to join the IT-based Business Intelligence team. You will design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, connect source systems to the data warehouse, and support BI reporting across Sales, Finance, and Operations.

Collaborate with analysts and developers, apply data governance, and leverage AI tools to accelerate development. Strong SQL, BI tool experience (Domo/Tableau/Power BI), and cloud data warehouse knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field such as IT, CS or data analytics.
2–4 years of data engineering, BI development or analytical tech experience.
Experience with ETL/ELT, data integration and data warehouse environments.
Proficiency with BI tools: Domo, Tableau, Power BI, or Business Objects.
Agile project management experience is beneficial.
Knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse best practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for BI reporting across functions.
Connect source systems to TaylorMade's data warehouse and BI environment.
Support governance standards for BI operations, monitoring, and performance.
Identify gaps in governance policies and propose improvements to the team.
Expand BI data architecture with senior engineers within an architectural framework.
Collaborate with application owners to ensure BI outcomes in enhancements.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate ETL development and reliability.
