This role sits within the Data Architecture practice and is primarily responsible for building and maintaining the data pipelines, integrations, and technical infrastructure that power TaylorMade's BI environment. The team prides itself on being innovative, agile, and responsive to the needs of their customers throughout the organization.

As this engineer develops a deep understanding of TaylorMade's data landscape and business processes, they will have natural opportunities to contribute to reporting and analytical projects in partnership with the Business Analysis team — building well-rounded expertise across both the technical and analytical dimensions of business intelligence.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines that support BI reporting and analytics across Sales, Finance, Operations, and other business functions; evaluate and recommend data integration strategies and standards across these business functions, advising stakeholders on tradeoffs among competing architectural approaches
  • In partnership with senior team members, contribute to data integration projects connecting source systems to TaylorMade's data warehouse and BI environment
  • Support governance standards for BI environment operations, including system monitoring, maintenance, and performance optimization, following established procedures and escalating exceptions
  • Evaluate and Identify gaps or improvement opportunities in existing governance policies within the established governance policy, bringing recommendations to senior team.
  • Participate in the development and expansion of TaylorMade's BI data architecture in collaboration with the Lead BI Engineer (Data Architect), implementing solutions within an established architectural framework
  • Work with application owners to ensure expected BI outcomes are considered in application enhancements and modifications
  • Collaborate with senior team members and leaders on various BI projects
  • undefined
  • Leverage AI-driven tools to accelerate ETL development, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance data pipeline reliability
  • Apply established data architecture standards to new integrations; identify and flag risks or proposed system changes for review by senior team members
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
  • Strong SQL skills — ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries across relational databases
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT development and data pipeline tooling
  • Proficiency with one or more BI or visualization tools (Domo, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, Azure, Oracle OCI) — a plus
  • Experience or familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and iterative delivery practices
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality and integrity
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with AI tools as a method of enhancing and accelerating BI and data engineering work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach — ability to partner across IT and business functions
  • Fluent verbal and written English communication skills required
  • Ability to exercise judgment in selecting among established methods, tools, and procedures to resolve technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, data analytics, or related field
  • 2-4 years of work experience in data engineering, BI development, or a closely related technical analytics role
  • Demonstrated experience with ETL processes, data integration, and/or data warehouse environments
  • Experience with BI tools such as Domo, Tableau, Power BI, or Business Objects
