Job summary

Tenable, Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst in our Business Intelligence organization to turn operational and customer data into actionable reports and dashboards.

You will partner with internal teams, such as sales compensation, to gather requirements and build usable data assets. Your hands-on work will include writing SQL views and constructing dashboards in Databricks, with emphasis on context engineering and metadata.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of BI, reporting, or data analyst experience.
• Hybrid schedule with ability to commute to Columbia, MD three days a week or to Boston, MA three days a week.
• Proficiency in SQL including joins, aggregations and filtering.
• Experience building dashboards with Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Strong communication skills to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with ability to document data objects and logic for downstream users.

Responsibilities

• Write SQL views and build dashboards within Databricks.
• Add structured descriptions and metadata to tables, views, and columns (context engineering).
• Validate report accuracy and monitor data quality.
• Maintain documentation of reporting logic for long-term reliability.
• Scale the business reporting layer within Databricks.
• Collaborate with globally distributed data professionals and cross-functional teams.
