Tenable is seeking a Data Analyst to transform operational and customer data into actionable reports and dashboards within our BI organization. You will partner with sales compensation and other teams to gather requirements, document specifications, and build user-friendly data assets.

You will write SQL views and develop dashboards in Databricks using engineering-provided data. The role emphasizes context engineering—adding metadata and descriptions so data is easily discoverable by AI

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in BI, reporting, or data analyst role.
• Hybrid schedule with commuting to Columbia, MD or Boston, MA offices three days a week.
• Proficiency in SQL (selects, joins, aggregations, filtering).
• Experience building dashboards with Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Strong written and verbal communication to translate requirements into data assets.
• Detail-oriented with ability to document data objects, definitions, and logic.

Responsibilities

• Turn operational and customer data into actionable reports and dashboards.
• Partner with internal business teams to gather requirements and document specifications.
• Write SQL views and build dashboards in Databricks using data from engineering teams.
• Add structured descriptions and metadata to tables, views, and columns for discoverability and AI tooling.
