Job description

Design and develop software-based data modeling and visualizations with Business Intelligence tools.
Support leadership by designing proactive, value-added data models for data-driven decision-making.
Manage end-to-end design and maintenance of BI tool datasets, data models, reports, dashboards and visualizations.
Design, develop and optimize data models for the business unit and other departments.
Meet with stakeholders to understand data needs and develop solutions and processes, including BI dashboards, Python programs, or Excel/VBA reports.
Enhance business insights and decision-making through robust, intuitive data visualizations.
Extract, transform and model transactional ERP data into reporting and analytics solutions.
Coordinate incremental creation and structure of QVD files from disparate data sources.
Identify impactful layouts and presentations of key performance metrics in self-service dashboards.
Partner with IT to develop security standards for BI applications and QVD files containing sensitive financial information.
Partner with cross-functional leaders to improve processes and documentation and recommend changes supporting world-class processes.
Seek opportunities to increase business knowledge and organizational visibility.
Generate ideas to streamline processes and collaborate across departments to create operational efficiencies.
Establish and implement best practices for data modeling and visualization and ensure data accuracy.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in information systems and three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience or an equivalent combination.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced SQL and experience with a variety of relational databases.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose positive business solutions.
• Reliability, organization and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication, including presentation skills.
• Knowledge of database design techniques and advanced SQL skills required.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or other statistics platform preferred.
• Professional presence with excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with management at corporate and department levels.
