Data Courage is a Polish-based international technology company specializing in BI, data and AI. We help organisations turn complex data into reliable reporting and practical AI solutions for clients across Europe and North America.

We are seeking a BI/Data Engineer to own projects end-to-end—from stakeholder conversations and data modelling to delivering trusted reports. You will work with ETL on Navision/Business Central and design semantic models for Power BI and Excel reporting.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of BI/data experience (ETL, modelling or reporting).
• Solid SQL Server & Python skills.
• Understanding of semantic/dimensional modelling (SSAS/AAS/Power BI).
• Power BI and/or Excel reporting experience.
• Strong English communication skills and client-facing experience.
• Self-sufficient with the ability to use AI tools to extend reach.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements directly from business stakeholders and translate them into technical scope.
• Work with ETL based on Microsoft ERP (Navision/Business Central) and refactor pipelines during migrations.
• Design semantic models (SSAS/AAS/Power BI) that hold up.
• Build reports across Excel, Power BI, and Paginated Reports.
• Diagnose and fix performance/data issues across the stack.
• Build PoCs, recommend platform/architecture, and help cut cloud costs.
• Explain the 'why' behind technical decisions to non-technical clients.

About the Role

We're looking for someone who can own a project end-to-end: from a stakeholder conversation about a business problem, through data modelling and pipeline work, to a working report the client trusts.

You'll

• Gather requirements directly from business stakeholders and translate them into technical scope.


• Work with ETL mostly based on Microsoft ERP (Navision, Business Central) and extend/refactor pipelines during migrations.


• Design semantic models (SSAS/AAS/Power BI) that hold up.


• Build reports across Excel, Power BI, and Paginated Reports.


• Independently diagnose and fix performance/data issues across the stack.


• Build PoCs, recommend the right platform/architecture, and find ways to cut cloud cost.


• Explain the 'why' behind technical decisions to non-technical clients.

You have

• 2–4+ years of experience in BI/data (ETL, modelling, or reporting).


• Solid SQL Server & Python skills.


• Understanding of semantic/dimensional modelling (SSAS/AAS/Power BI).


• Power BI and/or Excel reporting experience.


• Strong English communication skills - comfortable leading client conversations.


• A self-sufficient, 'figure it out' approach - including knowing how to use AI tools to extend your reach.
