Job summary

Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster specialist in Honolulu, HI for a hybrid role with meetings about four days per month. The role involves managing BI claims with attorneys, assessing liability and coverage, and negotiating settlements.

Office presence is optional beyond the four monthly meetings, with ongoing coaching from a supportive team. Ideal candidates will show independence in managing an inventory, experience negotiating with attorneys, and the ability to settle claims.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Associate's degree and three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling.
• This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Determines coverage and liability.
• Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys.
• Settle claims and set reserves.
• Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents.
• Analyze and interpret medical reports, follow-up with no-fault parties, and manage claims process to ensure efficient resolution.
• Interview, collect and document information from claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police.
