Logplan is seeking a full-time, site-based engineer for the Denver International Airport Recap and Modernization program. The role focuses on on-site supervision, field documentation, installation compliance, quality control, and detailed daily reporting to the project team and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • Three to seven or more years of experience in construction, field engineering, systems installation, commissioning, or related infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and field documentation.
  • Strong communication, coordination, documentation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard documentation and communication tools (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook/Teams/Bluebeam/Fieldwire).

Responsibilities

  • Be in the field typically no less than four hours per workday collecting data and documenting site progress, installation compliance, and quality control.
  • Collect detailed field data, including high-quality photographs and video, to document completed work and support reporting to the project team.
  • Provide day-to-day site supervision and project support for recap and modernization work.
  • Coordinate field activities among contractors, designers, vendors, DEN stakeholders, airport operations, and the Program Management Team.
  • Monitor installation activities for compliance with drawings, specifications, submittals, and contract requirements.
  • Identify constructability issues, installation conflicts, access constraints, and technical risks, and help teams develop practical solutions.
  • Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, field changes, and other technical documentation for field impacts.
  • Track field issues, punch-list items, deficiencies, and technical decisions through resolution and closeout.
  • Participate in field inspections, coordination meetings, readiness reviews, and contractor progress meetings.
  • Support installation, testing, commissioning, operational readiness, system activation, and turnover activities.
  • Coordinate with airport operations to minimize impacts to active baggage operations.
  • Promote compliance with airport safety, security, and operational requirements.

Position Summary

Logplan is seeking a full-time, site-based engineer for the Denver International Airport Recap and Modernization program. The role is centered on site supervision, field documentation, installation compliance, quality control, and detailed daily reporting to the project team and stakeholders.

This is not a remote position. The role is based full-time at Denver International Airport, although off-site access may sometimes be required to attend meetings or presentations. Logplan will provide the tools required for any off-site access. The successful applicant must follow all Company and DEN off-site and remote-access rules and regulations; unauthorized tools may not be used.

Site Supervision and Project Support
  • Be in the field typically no less than four hours per workday collecting data and documenting site progress, installation compliance, and quality control.

Documentation, Reporting, and Handover
  • Use a cell phone for day-to-day communications, note taking, and the collection of high-quality, high-resolution photographs and video for upload to Company- or DEN-provided cloud storage. The collected data will form the basis of reporting to the project team.
  • Provide detailed reports in person and through local or remote meetings, including presentations prepared with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or equivalent Company-provided tools.
  • Before leaving the site at the end of every workday, provide a detailed report to the project team covering the day's activities, deficiencies, and work remaining.
  • Complete a day-to-day overlap handover to other personnel, typically lasting 30 minutes, to identify critical items that are in progress, completed, or incomplete and ensure a continuous, seamless transfer of information.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Three to seven or more years of experience in construction, field engineering, systems installation, commissioning, or related infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and field documentation.
  • Strong communication, coordination, documentation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in active construction and operational environments and to meet the field-based requirements of the role.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard documentation and communication tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Bluebeam, and Fieldwire or an equivalent platform. These tools will be provided by Logplan.
  • The successful applicant must provide an industry-recognized cell phone with service through one of the three main U.S. cell carriers.
  • Ability to satisfy and maintain airport badging and background-check requirements.
Preferred Experience
  • Airport construction or baggage handling system projects.
  • Mechanical, electrical, controls, PLC, network, or systems integration.
  • Testing, commissioning, operational readiness, or phased construction in an active airport environment.
  • Previous work at Denver International Airport.
