Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington is seeking a Guest Services Representative II for the Cath Lab area. This full-time day shift role provides front-desk support, greets visitors, answers calls, and helps families navigate the invasive cardiology services.

You will protect patient confidentiality, assist with escorts to CVOU and post-procedure areas, and relay timely information to families. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between families, patients, visitors and invasive cardiology staff.
• Greets and directs visitors and families.
• Answers telephone and provides or relays messages.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Escort patients and families to CVOU.
• Relay updated patient information to families in CVOU, Cath Lab or EP Lab.
• Escort families to consult rooms or CVOU recovery post-procedure.
• Respond promptly to patients, families and visitors' needs.
• Access patient information from hospital computer systems.
• Answer questions and provide general visitation information.
• Locate patients in other hospital areas.
• Knowledge of hospital floor plan and services across departments.
• Know surgery and waiting areas well.
• Refer to Chaplain or Patient Relations as appropriate.

Full Time I Day Shift (600-1430)

Baptist Health invasive cardiac services, where compassionate care meets advanced treatment and research. Our three units encompass the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and Cardiovascular Observation Unit. Our invasive Cardiac Services include cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, percutaneous catheter interventions, cardiac MEMs, interventional neurology, interventional radiology, cardiac ablations, pacemakers/defibrillators, left atrial appendage occlusion devices, loop recorder implants, transesophageal echocardiograms, and electrical cardioversions. The cardiovascular observation unit also serves as our preoperative and postoperative area. At Baptist Health, we treat the whole person, offering hope and strength on every patient's journey.

Description

• Serves as a liaison between family members, patients, visitors and invasive cardiology staff:
• Greets and directs visitors and families.
• Answers telephone and provides or relays messages.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Assist with escorting patients and families to CVOU.
• Relays updated information to families throughout the entire time the patient is in CVOU, Cath Lab and/or the EP Lab.
• Escorts families to consult rooms to meet with physicians or to the CVOU recovery room, post-procedure.
• Responds promptly to patients, families and visitor's needs.
• Ability to access patient information from the computer.
• Answers questions and give general visitation information.
• Ability to locate patients in other areas of the hospital.
• Knowledge of hospital floor plan and services provided by other areas.
• Knowledge of all surgery and waiting areas.
• Makes referrals as appropriately to Chaplain or Patient Relations.
