Job summary

Summit BHC at The Ranch at Dove Tree in Lubbock, TX is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Associate I to join the clinical team and provide direct client care, supervision, and crisis response. Onsite role with structured activities and group sessions.

You will conduct safety checks, document observations, and support treatment goals through activities and documentation. Requires a high school diploma, CPR/de-escalation training, and 6 months of related experience; Veterans and military

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required (training available upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Ensures the wellbeing of clients and provides a safe, positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• Conducts safety checks and ensures supervision at prescribed intervals.
• Checks clients for contraband and manages valuables/belongings.
• Interacts with clients, observes behaviors, and communicates significant observations to the treatment team.
• Facilitates educational/rehabilitative groups on skills such as social/ coping/ independent living.
• Records vital signs and notifies changes to the charge nurse.
• Charts in client records timely and accurately.
• Enforces safety rules and assists with crisis de-escalation as needed.
• Provides transportation coordination and shift reports to oncoming staff.
