Job summary

Adecco is assisting a Windsor-based client in recruiting for a Rework Technician (BGA/LGA). The role is a temp-to-perm opportunity with pay ranging from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

The position focuses on repair, rework, and modification of complex PCBAs in a fast-paced EMS environment. Responsibilities include rework per IPC criteria, component removal/replacement, BGA/LGA handling, microscope-based work, documentation, and ECO support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electronics rework/repair experience in an EMS manufacturing environment.
• Experience with BGA/LGA rework.
• Experience with x-ray inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform rework and repair per IPC 7711 and 7721 workmanship criteria for SMT and Through Hole PCBAs.
• Remove and replace BGA, LGA, QFN, and fine-pitch components.
• Operate BGA rework stations, soldering equipment, hot air tools, and microscopes.
• Inspection of BGA/LGA rework using x-ray equipment.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Follow ESD, workmanship, and quality standards throughout the repair process.
• Support engineering changes (ECOs), modifications, and corrective actions.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with customer and IPC quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and repair records.
• Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis as needed.
