Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the Engineering Tech (BGA) will perform complex engineering tests, troubleshooting, data analysis, and product validation activities while supporting BGA rework processes, equipment operation, process improvements, and problem

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
• Experience with electronics, electronic assemblies, and board-level troubleshooting in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience with BGA rework processes, including component replacement, repair, and related production activities.
• Ability to analyze data, write reports, and communicate technical information clearly.
• Strong independent problem-solving and ability to lead process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development engineering activities for products, systems, and components.
• Analyze engineering test results, collect data, and implement changes to resolve technical and process-related issues.
• Review project instructions, blueprints, specifications, and procedures to determine testing requirements and potential solutions.
• Set up and conduct operational testing of complete units and components to support development, quality control, standardization, and problem resolution.
• Support BGA rework activities, including board-level processes involving component removal and replacement.
• Analyze test results against specifications and modify or adjust equipment to meet defined requirements and objectives.
• Record test procedures, results, data, and recommendations for product or process improvements while maintaining software, documentation, and equipment revisions.
• Assist engineers in developing hardware and software solutions and train technicians and operators on products, processes, and equipment.
