Job summary

A BFS Technician at Aveva Drug Delivery Systems in Tamarac, FL will serve as the subject matter expert for operation of BFS equipment, handling changeovers, startup, troubleshooting, and major adjustments to keep production running smoothly and safely.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as a BFS Mechanic or BFS technology knowledge.
• Minimum 5 years in regulated Food/OTC Pharmaceuticals manufacturing (aseptic filling preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent with technical certifications or training.
• Willingness to work flexible hours / on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment changeovers to enable transitions between BFS products and configurations.
• Set up BFS parison, mould, and punch during startup and make major adjustments for quality and efficiency.
• Conduct fill assessments and vacuum leak tests to meet acceptance criteria before production release.
• Troubleshoot BFS equipment and minimize downtime; assist in printer/labeler adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with maintenance mechanics during preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Support process optimization and implement SOPs and BFS operator training.
• Contribute to BFS operator training sessions and participate in investigations when deviations occur.
• Lead targeted BFS training activities and share knowledge to improve production excellence.
