MGM Resorts International in Yonkers, NY is seeking a Beverage Server to provide warm, precise beverage service in a fast-paced casino environment. You will be an ambassador of hospitality, delivering memorable experiences to guests while partnering with a dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be 18+, capable of obtaining NYS Gaming Commission licensure, and available for varied shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. Prior server experience in a casino, resort, or lounge is preferred.

The Job

As a Beverage Server, you will be an ambassador of hospitality by delivering exceptional service with warmth and precision. In this fast-paced casino environment, you’ll provide beverage service to guests actively engaged in gaming, ensuring their experience is seamless, elevated, and memorable. The Day-to-day

• Take order and serve drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable
• Place order, and garnish and serve cocktails to guests
• Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
• Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
• Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment to include fold/stack cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

The Ideal Candidate

• Must be 18 years or older and able to obtain proper licensure as required by the New York State Gaming Commission
• Must be available to work varied shifts including day shift (10am-6pm), swing shift (5:45pm-1:45am), and graveyard shift (7:15pm-3:15am), as well as weekends and holidays
• Has a high school diploma or GED
• Has prior relevant experience as a cocktail and/or food server working in a similar environment such as a casino, resort, or lounge
• Has knowledge of beverages including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes

Pay Rate

The Rate For This Role Is

$17.02

Pay is subject to review following 90 days of employment.

This is a tip eligible position.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
