Job summary

Belterra Casino Resort, operated by Boyd Gaming Corporation, is seeking a Beverage Server to deliver exceptional service in a dynamic casino setting. You will welcome guests, describe specials, assist with beverage choices, and ensure satisfaction through proactive service.

Applicants should have beverage and wine service familiarity, an Indiana liquor license, and the ability to obtain required certifications. Must be 21+ with typically two years of service experience.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with beverage and wine service.
• Indiana ABC Permit (Liquor License) required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service and positively engages with guests and coworkers.
• Greets guests, informs them of daily specials, and serves beverages as per standards.
• Assists guests with beverage selection using product knowledge.
• Ensures guest satisfaction through quality checks and responsiveness to guest needs.
• Maintains grooming, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Performs inventories and other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Beverage Server position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The position is also responsible for serving food and beverages in accordance to Belterra Casino Resort standards.

The Beverage Server:

• Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with external and internal customers and employees and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
• Recognizes guests immediately with a friendly, courteous greeting and informs them of daily specials, soup of the day, etc. Also acts as a “walking information center” by providing information on all aspects of Belterra Casino Resort & Spa services and facilities.
• Assists guests with beverage selection, demonstrating salesmanship with complete product knowledge.
• Ensures guest satisfaction through quality checks and responsiveness to guest complaints.
• Maintains a well-groomed, neat, and clean appearance, carrying out duties with attention to sanitation and safety.
• Anticipates, identifies, and provides for guest needs.
• Performs inventories and other duties as assigned.
