Job summary

Columbia Distributing Company in Yakima, WA is seeking a Sales Associate to support sales, merchandising and distribution goals by assisting the execution of business objectives and company initiatives.

You will rotate and merchandise the portfolio, provide route relief, interact with customers and departments, and maintain knowledge of beer, non-alcoholic products, trends and market share. This full-time role may require travel and weekend work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year beverage industry sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell, rotate and merchandise Columbia Distributing portfolio in assigned accounts.
• Provide route relief for Sales Representatives as scheduled.
• Interact with internal departments, suppliers and customers.
• Develop knowledge of beer, non-alcoholic products, food journals and market trends.
• Maintain themed programs to meet supplier and company standards.
• Submit reports, preplans, trackers, surveys, MVPs, expense and mileage logs on time.
• Manage inventory expenses per company policy.
• Understand MVP Standards and monitor competitive activity.
