Job Description

At Eataly, beverage service is as important as food! We offer a wide selection of premium Italian wines and drinks at all price points. Our guests can enjoy wine tastings and pairings, enhancing their shopping experience.

The Beverage Lead works closely with the Beverage Manager to implement and oversee the beverage program at our location. Responsibilities include:

1. Training managers, servers, and chefs on wines and beverage pairings during daily pre-shift meetings
2. Educating service staff about beverage options to ensure confident guest interactions
3. Assisting in scheduling and supervising front-of-house staff
4. Sharing knowledge of Italian food and beverages, providing excellent and responsible service
5. Working towards revenue targets per guest and per month
6. Updating beverage resources and maintaining accurate inventory and cellar conditions
7. Ensuring POS system pricing accuracy and updates
8. Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of sommelier or wine-related experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Italian food and beverages preferred

Job Requirements

• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with onsite availability
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
