Job summary

Hilton Norfolk THE MAIN seeks an Assistant Purchasing Manager to oversee beverage inventory for all food & beverage outlets and banquets. You will ensure par levels, accurate ordering, cost controls and reporting across purchasing systems.

Work closely with Purchasing, culinary leadership and event operations to optimize pricing, supplier relations and inventory planning for upcoming events while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Oversee beverage product ordering and inventory
• Maintain par levels for F&B outlets and banquets
• Generate QA reports on supplies, pricing and sanitation
• Collaborate on menu engineering and event planning

Responsibilities

• Support a culture of service excellence and teamwork within the purchasing team
• Collaborates with Purchasing Manager, Director of Restaurants, Banquet Operations and Executive Chefs on inventory and pricing
• Responsible for beverage product ordering, inventory and maintenance of established par levels
• Facilitates and supplies reports for QA inspections including product supplies, pricing, safety and sanitation
• Participates in menu engineering data analyses as needed
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of purchasing area and storage space
• Works with Engineering on preventive maintenance and proper temperature controls
• Ensures accuracy of product list and pricing updates in systems
• Maintains product knowledge related to pricing fluctuations and lead times
• Plans inventory needs for upcoming events through regular coordination meetings
