Job summary

Blackberry Mountain seeks a skilled Mixologist/Sommelier to lead the beverage program and craft a 5-star guest experience. You will oversee daily bar operations, develop seasonal cocktail programs, and ensure expert wine, beer, and spirit knowledge across the team.

Ideal candidates have a culinary/ hospitality background and formal wine training, with a passion for service excellence. This role collaborates across dining room, bar, and outdoor areas of Blackberry Mountain.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in culinary arts preferred.
• Experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
• Technical school or on the job formal training in Wine and Spirits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inventory maintenance for the beverage program
• Restock and maintenance of the bar
• Develop a cocktail program to increase revenue and seasonally refresh it
• Monitor bar service standards and adjust as needed
• Assist in wine inventory and storage upkeep
• Train staff on wines, spirits, and cocktails
• Ensure beverage coverage at all applicable services
• Manage ordering and receiving of alcohol
• Oversee wine lists and beverage menus; supervise during absences
