Job summary

Kerry Group is seeking a Scientist for Research Development & Applications in Beloit, WI to support new beverage product innovation for food service. You will conduct research, develop methods for processing, scale-up pilot plants, and assist with commercialization while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a strong background in food science, 3+ years in beverage development, and the ability to work in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Food Science/Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of beverage product development experience.
• Knowledgeable about food chemistry, sensory, microbiology, packaging systems and food engineering.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams at multiple levels.
• Must be able to taste and smell chemicals, flavors and food products.
• Must be able to stand for long periods in a laboratory setting and lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research including new product research and the development of foods.
• Develop new and improved methods and systems for food processing, production, quality control and packaging.
• Work in pilot plant and support production scale ups and commercialization.
• Field customer requests from conceptual phase through commercialization and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate customer calls with sales/culinary representatives through technical and culinary presentations.
• Work with cross functional groups to optimize Kerry’s capabilities and deliver the best Taste and Nutrition experience.
