Job summary

Kerry is seeking a beverage product development professional to support new product innovation for beverage applications in food service. The role emphasizes developing new processing methods, supporting pilot plants, and working with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to commercialization.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in beverage product development and a strong background in food chemistry, sensory science, and packaging systems.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Food Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of Beverage Product Development experience.
• Knowledgeable about food chemistry, sensory, microbiology, and packaging systems.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams at multiple levels.
• Able to taste and smell chemicals, flavors and foods.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research including new product research and development of foods.
• Develop methods and systems for food processing, production, quality control and packaging.
• Support pilot plant and scale-ups for commercialization.
• Field customer requests to satisfy project needs from concept to commercialization.
• Collaborate with SMEs to develop gold standards and match competitive products.
• Coordinate internal processes and communicate outcomes to cross-functional teams.
• Develop and protect Intellectual Property by documenting research notes.
• Study methods to improve flavor, color, texture, nutrition, convenience or physical, chemical and microbiological aspects of foods.
• Travel to Kerry production plants and customer sites as needed.
