Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is recruiting for a confidential beverage manufacturer in the Indianapolis area to fill a Maintenance Supervisor role.

You will lead maintenance technicians, mentor staff, and foster a proactive reliability culture. This hands-on leadership position balances urgent repairs with planned work, coordinating with Production, Quality and Safety teams while overseeing small capital projects.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of relevant maintenance experience.
• At least two years of education beyond high school through college or technical school.
• Strong working knowledge of PLCs, electrical systems, hydraulics, and production equipment.
• Ability to organize maintenance workloads and guide technicians.
• Coordinate contractors, project schedules and related expenses.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
• Flexibility to support weekend and holiday work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance technicians, assign work orders, and set safety, quality, and performance expectations.
• Coordinate breakdown response while ensuring preventive maintenance and repairs are completed.
• Plan work around technician availability, equipment priorities, and production schedules.
• Apply root cause analysis to resolve recurring failures and reduce downtime.
• Coach and develop technicians through performance feedback and safety training.
• Track maintenance performance and manage spare parts inventory.
• Partner with Production, Quality and Safety teams to support food safety and reliable operations.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors; manage small maintenance and capital projects.
