Job summary

Ho-Chunk, Inc. in Lincoln, NE, is seeking a Beverage Shift Supervisor to lead beverage operations during an assigned shift, coaching the team, managing scheduling, inventory, and service quality in a fast-paced gaming environment.

The role requires 3+ years of food and beverage management, 1+ year supervisory experience in high-volume venues, and an associate degree. Proficiency with POS systems and MS Office, strong regulatory knowledge, and budgeting experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Three (3) years of food and beverage management experience.
• Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience in a high-volume gaming or hospitality beverage operation.
• Experience supporting operations that include banquet services, entertainment venues, multiple bars, and restaurant environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Strong point-of-sale (POS) operational and programming experience.
• Knowledge of health, hospitality, food service, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with budgeting, inventory controls, financial accountability, and operational reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to beverage team members during assigned shifts.
• Deliver tools, training, communication, and resources for exceptional guest service.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure adequate staffing for regular operations and events.
• Monitor beverage inventory and align with demand.
• Participate in weekly inventory counts and assist with orders.
• Ensure proper payment collection and approved complimentary authorization for transactions.
• Assist with cash handling procedures and balancing registers.
• Ensure beverages are prepared and served efficiently while maintaining quality and service standards.
• Maintain compliance with TIPS and other regulatory requirements.
• Develop beverage promotions and revenue-generating initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends and guest preferences.
• Attend required meetings and training and ensure certification compliance.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, gaming regulations, and local, state, and federal requirements.
• Promote guest relations, teamwork, and employee engagement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
