Adirondack Beverages in Schenectady, NY, is seeking a Microbiologist for our beverage manufacturing facility. This is an entry-level to early-career role offering hands-on microbiology work and exposure to quality systems.

Responsibilities include analyzing samples, maintaining records, assisting with the weekly microbiological report, and supporting the Quality Manager with investigations and process improvements.

Qualificações

• AS degree in Biology or closely related field.
• High attention to detail.
• Team player with ability to adapt to changing environment.
• Willing to work in a beverage manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

• Document and respond to consumer complaints
• Assist with the weekly microbiological report
• Report mechanical, raw material or procedural problems to the Quality Manager
• Perform a variety of sample collections and plating of finished products
• Read and interpret microbiological plates
• Participate in short and long term microbiological research projects
• Prepare reagents, standards, and buffer solutions as necessary
• Order laboratory supplies and equipment
• Help maintain the consumer complaint database
• Perform miscellaneous projects as needed, including; extra sample collections, new product testing, testing consumer samples, changing carbon beds or cleaning reaction tanks in the waterplant, etc.
