Job summary

TPI Global Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician in Atlanta, GA to support beverage ingredient and sweetener innovation programs. The role starts as a 12+ month contract with potential extension.

You will weigh, measure and blend ingredients to create prototypes, perform pH, Brix, acidity, viscosity and density tests, and assist with sensory evaluations and stability studies. You'll maintain equipment and records in a GMP/SOP framework.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in the food or beverage industry.
• Experience with sample preparation, analytical testing, and laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, laboratory safety, and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverage prototypes by weighing, measuring, and blending ingredients.
• Perform analytical testing, including pH, Brix, acidity, viscosity, and density.
• Support sensory evaluations, stability studies, and shelf-life testing.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, perform calibration, and troubleshoot issues.
• Support pilot plant trials, sample preparation, and data collection.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, inventory, and SOP/GMP compliance.
• Work closely with scientists on beverage formulation and product development.
