Job summary

Sunny Sky Products, LLC in Douglassville, PA is seeking a Beverage Industry Quality Technician (Crew A) to perform analytical testing and inspections on raw materials, in-process products, finished goods, and R&D samples to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

The Technician collaborates with cross-functional teams, coaches production staff on Food Safety and Quality practices, maintains IMS lists, and assists with GMPs, audits, and data collection for production and quality

Qualifications

  • GFSI (SQF) experience, knowledge, or training preferred.
  • HACCP training and/or experience preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience performing quality control testing in a food, beverage, or dairy manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to use standard laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data effectively.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Mechanical aptitude is helpful.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis on in-process products, finished products, and R&D samples to ensure specifications are met.

We have generated an extensive product portfolio that includes frozen dispensed beverages, cold dispensed beverages, hot dispensed beverages, and beverage enhancers.

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for conducting analytical testing and inspections on raw materials, in-process products, finished goods, and R&D samples to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards. This role involves making accept/reject decisions based on pre-established criteria, placing defective products on hold, and resolving and reporting defect issues. The Technician collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to communicate test results and support plant operations. Key responsibilities include reviewing analytical data and production parameters, performing line control to ensure compliance, evaluating questionable ingredients and finished products, and verifying batch mixes and component levels. The Technician plays an active role in coaching production staff on Food Safety and Quality practices and contributes to data collection for production, quality, and efficiency metrics. Additional duties include maintaining IMS lists, assisting with facility inspections, audits, and GMP implementation, and performing sampling and analysis of raw and finished products. This position is essential in ensuring product integrity, supporting continuous improvement, and upholding food safety standards throughout the manufacturing process.

*This position is based in a manufacturing plant environment, which may involve exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures. Plant Operates 24/7. Shifts will be 36 hours one week, 48 the following with rotation.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally required to sit, reach above the shoulders, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, taste, smell, handle, touch, talk, and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is a wet production environment with loud noise levels.

Schedule

Our production team operates on 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule of 3 days one week and 4 days the following week.

Crew A – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & every other Saturday, 3:00 AM – 3:30 PM
