Responsibilities include promoting a welcoming atmosphere, answering product questions, recommending items, and ensuring accurate labeling and inventory. Prior experience in beer/wine/liquor is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have effective communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a retail environment.
• Knowledge of basic math for transactions and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
• Be knowledgeable about products and make recommendations to customers.
• Assist with adult beverage displays and in-store promotions.
• Maintain familiarity with adult beverage product names and industry terms.
• Inform customers of Beer/Wine/Spirits specials.
• Recommend products to meet customer needs.
• Prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department items.
• Report discrepancies in ordering/shipping to management.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain logs.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
