Job description

White Eagle Golf Club, established in 1989 and located in Naperville, IL, is a private, member-owned country club offering a premier golf and social experience. Designed by Arnold Palmer, it features 27 holes set across 163 acres, hosting prestigious tournaments.

General Summary:

The Beverage Director manages all beverage operations across multiple outlets, focusing on menu creation, cost control, inventory management, and ensuring high-quality service. Responsibilities include organizing wine dinners and tastings, overseeing staff, maintaining budgets, and ensuring compliance with laws and safety standards. The role requires full-time commitment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Functions:
  1. Develop and monitor budgets for revenue outlets.
  2. Manage member check analysis, ticket controls, and sales reports.
  3. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate beverage staff, ensuring policy adherence.
  4. Control labor costs through scheduling and record monitoring.
  5. Maintain standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control.
  6. Design and price beverage menus for all outlets and events.
  7. Ensure legal compliance regarding wages, safety, and alcohol sales.
  8. Train staff on safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  9. Research new products for cost and profit benefits.
  10. Oversee purchasing and receiving procedures.
  11. Review beverage preparation techniques to maximize satisfaction and minimize costs.
  12. Collaborate with culinary and club management to ensure member satisfaction.
  13. Oversee service quality and member interactions.
  14. Develop wine lists and promotional programs.
  15. Maintain departmental standards and respond to member feedback.
  16. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  17. Manage inventory and vendor relations.
  18. Work with accounting for reports and controls.
  19. Handle additional responsibilities as assigned, including security oversight.
