This job involves operating a cash register efficiently and courteously, adhering to all front-end procedures and company policies. Beverage clerks are also responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by providing prompt and courteous service in the Café.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Operate the cash register during a significant portion of the shift, following cashier accountability policies.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to maximize sales and control out-of-date products through proper rotation and replenishment.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service consistently.
• Identify customer needs and respond proactively to concerns.
• Ensure proper food levels in the café and communicate needs with the Deli Department.
• Train new café employees on products and procedures within the Beer and Wine department.
• Maintain good relationships with beverage and wine vendors through regular communication.
• Communicate department concerns and objectives with store management and the Beverage Manager.
• Comply with health, safety, and PLCB regulations.
• Enforce Beer and Wine policies, including alcohol sales and ID checks.
• Greet customers and observe their needs while working.
• Follow all Redner’s Markets policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Handle merchandise physically, filling shelves and coolers with required products.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Ability to stand throughout the entire shift.
