Job summary

Troon in Chicago, IL is hiring a part-time Beverage Cart/Grill Attendant for a seasonal position lasting up to 6 months. The role includes beverage service on the course, grilling for public golf, and assisting with events in the tent. Benefits include golf privileges across 10 FPG courses in the Cook County area.

Pay ranges from $15.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience, plus tips. Prior experience is welcome but not required, with a focus on reliable attendance and compliance with liquor

Responsibilities

• Ensure beverage cart is operational before rounds.
• Stock and clean beverage cart throughout the day.
• Serve food and beverages on the course.
• Answer guest questions about the facility.
• Record daily sales and operate POS system.
• Adhere to state liquor laws and SOPs.
• Assist with setup for banquets and events.

Indian Boundary Golf Course, located in Chicago, IL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Beverage Cart/Grill Attendant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Pay Range:

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience, plus tips

Summary:

All beverage cart attendants specialize in on-course beverage service and preparing/working the outdoor grill for public golf, as well as outing events in our Banquet tent. Compensation is competitive and all employees earn golf privileges at all 10 FPG courses in the Cook County Chicago area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Confirms beverage cart is fully operational before starting rounds on the course.
• Stocks and cleans beverage cart throughout the day.
• Maintains and exhibits knowledge of proper golf course etiquette.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
• Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner.
• Serves food and beverage items to guests while on the course.
• Responds to customer questions regarding the general information of facility.
• Reviews schedules for changes, calendar of events and club activities on a daily basis.
• Accountable for all checks and cash transactions that may, at times, may be high volume.
• Utilizes Point of Sales system (POS)and creates daily sales reports.
• Communicates guest concerns or comments immediately to the Director of Food and Beverage and Chef.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must be able to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Experience preferred but not required.
