Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Experience with operating automated equipment preferred.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, hand tools and hand-held measurement devices.
• Knowledge of SRM manufacturing processes, procedures is a plus.
• Flexible schedule may require overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Beveling machine setup during size changeovers.
• Ensure bevels conform to quality requirements on the work order.
• Ensure that no pipe with inside scarf goes to the next operation.
• Communicate product details and unfinished duties when changing operators.
• Read work orders to determine production specifications and information.
• Serve as back-up for Hydrotester or Pre-Visual Check Operator when necessary.
• Maintain machinery by observing operations and correcting malfunctions.
• Clean and service equipment during maintenance/downtime.
• Communicate issues to Supervisor and Engineer.
• Coordinate with station operators to ensure quality product.
• Reject non-conforming products and readjust equipment.
