Job summary

TAKKION in the United States is seeking a BESS Project Manager to lead battery energy storage system projects from notice-to-proceed through commissioning and closeout. You will oversee schedule, budget, safety, quality, and stakeholder coordination to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience in renewable energy with BESS exposure.
• Direct experience managing BESS projects required.
• Strong understanding of EPC project delivery models.
• Proficiency with project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet).
• Ability to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of BESS projects including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
• Track milestones, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure contract terms, scope, and change management processes are followed.
• Lead project meetings, status updates, and executive reporting.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, EPC partners, OEMs, and subcontractors.
• Oversee safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across projects.
