Delan Associates, Inc. seeks a Project Manager to lead advanced technical, financial, and regulatory planning for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from development through construction readiness in Juno Beach, FL.

The role combines engineering, economic, and project-management expertise to optimize scope, risk, and financial feasibility across complex multi-disciplinary infrastructure programs. Collaboration with executive leadership and regulators is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on engineering, economics, or construction.
• PMP certification and Six Sigma experience are highly desired.
• Advanced Excel skills and excellent project management, communication, financial, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced pre-construction planning and optimization for utility-scale BESS projects, integrating engineering design, financial modeling, procurement strategy, and regulatory constraints to support executive investment decisions.
• Manage matrixed project development teams to align resources with project schedules.
• Coordinate environmental, regulatory, land acquisition, interconnection, and other variables to ensure comprehensive development.
• Develop and optimize the project’s technical scope and variables to improve technical and financial feasibility.
• Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations and jurisdictional requirements.
• Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement to support financial models and project designs.
• Present financial models to business units and manage approvals.
• Negotiate and execute contracts for geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services.
