Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a skilled Electrician for the Desert Pine BESS project. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems within a large-scale energy storage facility, ensuring safety and efficiency.

In this role, you will perform inspections, diagnose faults, and coordinate with engineers and managers. A Journeyman license and 3–5 years of relevant experience are preferred, with OSHA certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program preferred.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license in the relevant state/jurisdiction.
• 3–5 years of experience as a qualified electrician, preferably in renewable energy, industrial, or utility settings.
• Knowledge of electrical theory, AC/DC circuits, control systems, and power distribution.
• Experience with BESS or large-scale electrical infrastructure is a significant advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong understanding of NEC and local electrical codes.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a demanding construction environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures per blueprints and codes.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on BESS systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions using testing devices and tools.
• Connect power to equipment with proper grounding and safety.
• Follow safety regulations and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades for timely completion.
• Document work performed including repairs and installations.
• Operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment.
• Assist in training and supervision of apprentices as needed.
