Responsibilities

  • Assembles parts and units and positions, aligns, and fastens units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using hand and power tools.
  • Positions, aligns, and adjusts parts for proper fit and assembly.
  • Connects cables, tubes and wiring according to schematics.
  • Follows work instructions, blueprints, and procedures to meet specs and quality.
  • Supports continuous improvement and problem solving activities.
  • Works in a team to assemble components and assist Team Leader.

Overview:

The cabinet assembler pro duces mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies, products or systems by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required by production needs.

  • Assembles parts and/or units and positions, aligns, and fastens units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using various hand and power tools.
  • Positions, aligns, and adjusts parts for proper fit and assembly.
  • Connects cables, tubes and wiring according to standard manufacturing methods and procedures.
  • Diligently follows work instructions, blueprints, and/or schematics to ensure product specs, performance targets and quality levels are met.
  • Supports continuous improvement activities and participates in problem solving activities.
  • Contributes to a safe working environment by following safety requirements.
  • Collaborates with Team Leader and Manager to resolve technical problems, validates recommendations or reviews material requirements.
  • Works in a team environment to assemble components.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties and activities as assigned

Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain standing for extended periods while performing job duties
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50lbs
  • Occasionally bend, stoop, reach, and maneuver into confined or limited-access areas
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity
  • Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), steel-toes, gloves and safety glasses.
