Job summary

Myers Emergency Power Systems is seeking a Cabinet Assembler in Bethlehem, PA. The role involves producing mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies, following blueprints and work instructions, and using hand and power tools to assemble components.

You will connect cables and wiring, ensure accurate assembly per specs, and participate in safety and continuous improvement activities in a team setting. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced production area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work with tools, equipment, and technical processes.
• Hands-on, mechanically inclined, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable interpreting technical information and instructions.
• Understanding of Electrical.
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to navigate standard workplace software applications.

Responsibilities

• Assembles parts and/or units and positions, aligns, and fastens units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using various hand and power tools.
• Positions, aligns, and adjusts parts for proper fit and assembly.
• Connects cables, tubes and wiring according to standard manufacturing methods and procedures.
• Diligently follows work instructions, blueprints, and/or schematics to ensure product specs, performance targets and quality levels are met.
• Supports continuous improvement activities and participates in problem solving activities.
• Contributes to a safe working environment by following safety requirements.
• Collaborates with Team Leader and Manager to resolve technical problems, validates recommendations or reviews material requirements.
• Works in a team environment to assemble components.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties and activities as assigned

Overview:

The cabinet assembler pro duces mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies, products or systems by performing the following duties.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to remain standing for extended periods while performing job duties
• Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50lbs

• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity
• Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), steel-toes, gloves and safety glasses.
