Job summary

Berklee College of Music seeks Production Assistants to support the BIE "Ehsaas" production team across Berklee venues, handling setup, teardown, and transport of equipment. Some positions may involve IEM-related duties and a one-time training session.

Job description

In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

• Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.


• Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program.


• Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled.


• In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester.


• This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.


• Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).


• Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.


• A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA.


• Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.


• Federal Work Study student may apply.


• In good disciplinary standing.


• Must be located in the U.S.

Production Assistants support the BIE \"Ehsaas\" production team with setup, teardown, and transport of equipment across Berklee and partner venues (B41, Record Co, Q Division, David Friend Recital Hall, The Loft). Most tasks require no prior training since engineering staff handle the technical work; this role is primarily runners and extra hands on deck. Production Assistants will also help with decor and setup on 10/16 at The Loft and David Friend Recital Hall. If in-ear monitors (IEMs) are used for the production (still being confirmed), a smaller subset of Production Assistants will attend a one-time training session and take on additional IEM-specific setup, teardown, and transport duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down production equipment at assigned venues before/after sessions


• Transport gear between venues as needed (e.g., Q Division to Berklee campus, The Loft to David Friend Recital Hall)


• Assist with physical setup at The Loft on 10/16


• If assigned to the IEM sub-team: attend a one-time IEM training session and handle IEM-specific setup, teardown, and transport


• Serve as a general runner/extra set of hands for the production team as tasks arise


• Flex across specific shifts between October 2-30, 2026 based on the day's schedule and own class schedule

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Able to lift and carry production equipment safely. Up to 50lbs.


• Reliable and punctual for assigned shift windows


• Able to follow direction from production/engineering staff


• Available for shifts that may fall outside standard daytime hours (any before/after normal building hours will be coordinated with Berklee Security)

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Prior admin, logistics, or event coordination experience


• Familiarity with Berklee campus and BIE
