Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Design Practice Technologist to join our Digital Engineering Solutions team in the United States. The role focuses on Bentley transportation design technology, standards, and workspace governance to advance digital delivery.

You will lead design standards, workflows, and model-based approaches across roadway, bridge, rail, and corridor projects, collaborating with project teams and agencies to ensure consistency, quality, and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop Bentley standards, workflows, and managed workspaces for OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, and related tools.
• Support DOT-compliant digital delivery and model-based design across projects in the U.S.
• Collaborate with design teams, agencies, and subconsultants to implement best practices in 3D modeling and documentation.
• Lead governance, testing, and rollout of workspace configurations and standards.
• Create training materials and deliver guidance on Bentley workflows and DOT standards.
