Job summary

Rapport International is seeking Bengali interpreters for in-person interpretation in the Omaha area to serve local Nebraska clients. This independent contractor role offers flexible hours, with mandatory access to transportation for appointments and the ability to use a company online portal.

Proof of vaccination is required or applicable exemptions considered. Applicants should list all languages spoken in their resume and be available M–F 7:00–17:00 when services are typically needed.

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual and able to provide in-person interpretation.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Commitment to confidentiality/HIPAA compliance.
• In-person interpreters only; must have transportation to attend appointments locally.
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal; printing and uploading vouchers required.
• Must have access to a printer.
• Interpreting experience or certification preferred.
• Background checks and drug screens required.
• PRN, part-time or less; require some availability M-F 7AM–5PM.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Fully bilingual

• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only, you must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.
