Job description

Our client is looking for a fully remote Benefit Support Specialist for a 3+ Month contract.

*** MUST BE LOCATED IN NJ***
Pay: $20/hr
Hours: 8AM - 5PM


The main function of a Benefits Support is to process benefit enrollments, terminations and Qualified Life Events (QLE) in Workday and following up with colleagues for missing or incomplete documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Advise managers and employees on state and federal employment regulations, collective agreements, benefit and compensation policies.
  • Evaluate job positions, determining classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining personnel records and handbooks.
  • Prepare reports, such as organization and flow chards, and career path reports, to summarize job evaluation and compensation analysis information.
Requirements:
  • Expereince handling Zendesk tickets
  • Prior experience with Benefits and/or HR administration
  • Technical skills and proficiency with current, new and emerging human resource information systems (e.g., Workday),
  • General knowledge of regulations governing Benefits particularly Enrollment and Qualified Life Events as well as corresponding human resources policies and procedures
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of particular proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets (i.e. VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required.
  • 0-2 years Benefits Administration related experience required.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $20.00
