Job summary

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) seeks a Benefits Specialist to serve as the initial contact for OSC visitors, gather insurance and co-pay details, and connect callers to the correct staff.

You will document referrals and demographics in the EHR and coordinate with the Billing Department on co-pay information. The role requires a high school diploma or GED (associates or higher preferred) and 3 years of front desk/insurance verification experience, with a preference for candidates with recovery

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or higher preferred.
• 3 years of experience with insurance verification and/or front desk experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred.
• Valid identification required.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for individuals seeking voluntary services during OSC hours.
• Obtain insurance and co-pay information and relay to Billing Department.
• Maintain contact with referral sources and document referral and demographic data in the EHR.
