Job summary

Univera Healthcare is seeking a Benefits Specialist to support the design, administration, and delivery of employee benefits. You will work with HR, employees, and vendors to ensure accurate program execution, a positive employee experience, and regulatory compliance.

The role covers Level I and Level II responsibilities, including post-retirement benefits, retiree billing, COBRA, and compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with 3+ years in benefits.
• Strong understanding of benefit plans and relevant regulations.
• Experience with HRIS/Payroll integrated systems; Workday a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assignments.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs.
• Maintain benefit records and confidentiality.
• Assist with benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and annual processes.
• Serve as first contact for benefit inquiries and guidance.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, COBRA and privacy policies.
• Support onboarding with benefits orientation and communications.
• Plan and coordinate benefits communications and retiree programs.
