Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to join our HR team in Austin, TX. This contract-to-hire role is hybrid, with three days in the office, and hours typically 8 AM–4 PM or 9 AM–5 PM.

You will support day-to-day benefits administration, help employees navigate programs, and work with vendors, HR partners, and payroll to ensure accurate enrollment and timely responses.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in employee benefits administration or related HR function.
• Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and administration.
• Experience with enrollments, life events, leave administration, vendor coordination, and reconciliations.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a benefits resource, acting as a primary contact for employee questions.
• Administer benefits programs, including enrollments and life events.
• Support open enrollment activities and required documentation.
• Maintain benefits data in HRIS and payroll systems; assist with audits.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal HR teams to resolve issues.
• Assist with compliance and reporting related to ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, ADA.
