Job summary

Canon Business Process Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Benefits Administrator to oversee health, welfare and retirement plans, ensuring accurate administration and compliant handling of leave benefits.

The role collaborates with HR and vendors, reviews eligibility, handles billing, prepares communications, and supports disability and workers’ compensation processes while keeping costs in check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge required.
• Minimum 5 yrs. Benefits Administration experience with knowledge of FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, ADA and related laws.

Responsibilities

• Oversee benefit carrier performance for health, welfare and retirement plans.
• Review enrollment and eligibility, resolve issues with vendors.
• Review and pay benefit invoices including Healthy San Francisco.
• Prepare updated benefit communications and plan materials.
• Maintain plan administrative procedures and audit dependent eligibility.
• Review monthly billing for health and welfare plans.
• Support disability and workers’ compensation processes and policy knowledge.
• Collaborate with risk management to control workers’ comp costs.
• Manage direct bill process for employees on leave and follow up on unpaid invoices.
• Assist with ERISA/HIPAA compliance issues.
• Provide training to HR representatives on disability/workers’ compensation laws.
