Role Description The Benefits Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Henderson, NV, responsible for administering and supporting employee benefit programs across Nevada HAND’s workforce. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing enrollments, changes, and terminations in benefit plans; maintaining accurate benefits records; and serving as a primary contact for employee questions related to health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement benefits. The role coordinates leaves of absence, including those under the U.S. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), ensuring compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and timelines. The Benefits Specialist works closely with insurance carriers, brokers, and internal departments to resolve issues, support open enrollment activities, and assist with benefits-related communications and training. This position also contributes to process improvements and assists with audits, reporting, and other human resources projects as needed.
