Excellus BCBS in Rochester, NY seeks a Benefits Specialist to support design, administration, and delivery of employee benefits. You will partner with HR, employees, and vendors to ensure accurate program execution and a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities include enrollment processing, COBRA, retiree billing, HIPAA and ERISA compliance, benefits communications, and the annual benefits fair. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and significant benefits

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field; 3+ years in Benefits or 7+ years in lieu of degree.
• Solid understanding of benefit plans and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with HRIS/Payroll systems; Workday a plus.
• Strong problem solving, organization, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Supports day-to-day administration of employee benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement, etc.).
• Administers enrollments, life events, open enrollment, and annual processes.
• Maintains benefit records in Workday and ensures confidentiality.
• Serves as first point of contact for benefit inquiries and escalates complex issues.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, COBRA and related regulations.
