Job summary

El Dorado Public Schools Central Office in El Dorado, Arkansas is seeking an Employee Benefits Representative. The role supports staff with all benefits, processes payroll for cafeteria, maintenance and bus shop employees, and ensures compliant paperwork and reporting.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with a 240-day contract length and a salary range of $31,245.60 to $36,045.60 per year. Reports to the Chief Financial Officer, starting immediately.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills across staff and vendors (40+ employees).
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge and ability to process payroll and benefits deductions accurately.
• Experience with school finance software and Google Drive is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with new employees to discuss insurance plans and retirement and complete required paperwork.
• Advise employees of changes to benefits and deadlines for new hires or updates.
• Process payroll for food service, maintenance and transportation staff and reconcile insurance deductions.
• Prepare forms 1095-C and submit to IRS as required by law.
• Work with insurance providers and vendors to set up annual meetings and handle billings.
