Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) is seeking a Benefits & Payroll Analyst to support administration and analysis of employee benefit programs and payroll processes. The role ensures enrollments, coverage, deductions, and pay are accurate and compliant, while improving the employee experience and efficiency of benefits administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or equivalent education and experience required.

Responsibilities

• Administers and supports employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, leave-related benefits).
• Provides payroll support and acts as back-up to the Payroll Administrator.
• Monitors and reconciles benefit provider file integrations; resolves discrepancies to prevent future errors.
• Researches issues with carriers, vendors, brokers, HR, payroll, and Finance; improves processes.
• Analyzes benefits, payroll, enrollment and data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develops reports, dashboards, and summaries to support plan management, budgeting and leadership decisions.
• Assists with annual enrollment, new-hire events, and compliance activities (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA).
• Reconciles vendor invoices and coordinates corrections for payment.
• Maintains accurate data in HR, benefits, payroll, and vendor systems with confidentiality.
