We are looking for a Benefits Manager to join our team! Ideal candidate will have experience navigating benefits within a large organization and demonstrate strong vendor management skills.

Must be in the greater St. Louis area.

BJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States, delivering services to residents primarily in the greater St. Louis, southern Illinois and southeast Missouri regions. Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

This position manages the planning, administration, implementation and communication of company-wide health and welfare, retirement and well-being employee benefit programs. The role manages the Benefits Team.

Responsibilities

  1. Leads benefit related programs and projects including Wellness, Annual Enrollment, etc.
  2. Partners with HR Operations in development of processes and support materials to continuously improve the employee experience.
  3. Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  4. Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  5. Evaluates existing benefits and proposes new programs through information obtained by research, market trends and employee feedback. Consults and collaborates with leadership to identify benefit strategies that support business needs.
  6. Manages and administers existing benefits programs. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements.
