Job summary

Southern States LLC is seeking a Benefits Specialist to oversee the administration of employee benefits and leave programs in a manufacturing setting. You will serve as the first point of contact for benefits vendors and employees, ensuring accurate and compliant benefit operations, 401(k) administration, and annual open enrollment.

This onsite role requires five days per week at the facility, with duties spanning benefits education, data integrity, and regulatory reporting to support Total

Qualifications

• Experience administering employee benefits and leave programs.
• Knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and related regulations.
• Ability to interpret plan documents and ensure compliance.
• Experience with benefits audits, vendor invoicing, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee benefits and leave administration and vendor coordination.
• Support 401(k) administration and wellness initiatives.
• Ensure HRIS data integrity with carrier systems.
• Develop dashboards on leave utilization and compliance metrics.
• Educate employees and managers on benefit provisions and processes.
